Dundee City Council have urged people to visit a new exhibition showing the proposed transformation of Union Street in the city centre.
The council are working in partnership with Sustrans, the UNESCO City of Design, members of the public, partners and stakeholders during a co-design phase to produce the final proposal for the street.
Union Street is a mix of shops, pubs, restaurants & cafes and over the past few years has seen pedestrianisation of the street as well as street markings, the installation of planters and the inclusion of tables and chairs from local eateries.
The drawings and models will be on display in Dundee Design House until 19 April to ensure that all businesses and residents have the opportunity to drop in and see the proposals. Stakeholder groups will also be invited back to the space to respond to the final proposal.
Councillor Steven Rome, Convener of Fair Work, Economic Growth and Infrastructure, met with designers Linsey McIntosh and Gary Kennedy to discuss the process and reasoning behind the designs.
Councillor Rome said: "I was delighted to pop along to the Dundee Design House to see the design proposals for Union Street.
"The exhibition is a chance for locals, businesses and visitors to see all the great work that has been going on to develop the area into a vibrant and unique destination. I would encourage everyone to go and have a look at the designs."
The project is being funded through Places for Everyone, an active travel infrastructure programme backed by the Scottish Government and administered by Sustrans.
