Clark Contracts Announces 8th Annual Careers Evening

Clark Contracts has announced that it will host its 8th annual careers evening on Tuesday 05 March, as part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week.

The contractor, who has previously been crowned 'Best Place to Work' at the Construction News Talent Awards, will have opportunities for apprentices and trainees for various positions and trades including Quantity Surveying, Site Management, Estimating, Human Resources, Finance, Administration, IT, Joinery, Painting and Decorating and Plastering.

The event is being held on Tuesday 5th March from 5.30pm in Clark Contracts' Head Office at 23 McFarlane Street, Paisley, PA3 1RY. Those interested in attending can register for the event here to receive a time slot to attend.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with the company's Recruitment and HR Team, Invest in Renfrewshire, modern apprenticeship provider Microcom and Skills Development Scotland along with a range of the contractor's current employees to find out more about careers at Clark Contracts and how they can progress through the company's award-winning Academy.

The event will cover the recruitment process for the contractor's 2024 trainee and apprenticeship intake, which will be launched following the event.

Clark Contracts is committed to ensuring new talent is recruited into the industry and currently has over 36 trainees and apprentices within their Academy in a range of roles including, Site Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Buying, Marketing, Estimating and Trade Apprenticeships. The contractor annually invests £750k into training and is dedicated to the continued development of employees, with many having progressed from trainee and apprentice positions to senior management roles within the business.

Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director, Clark Contracts said: "Our careers evening is an important part of our year with over 100 people joining us in 2023. In recent years we have continued to invest heavily in the training of our employees, and are committed to creating new opportunities within construction and supporting future talent into the industry."
