Angus Council has announced a programme of road repair works on the B9128 south of Craichie will get underway from Monday 8 January.
The works will be carried out in two phases, with Phase 1 consisting of carriageway repairs and drainage works and is expected to take approximately one week to complete, weather permitting. A road closure will be in place during this work between 8am and 3.30pm.
The signed diversion route will be as follows:
B9128 – B9127 – B961 – A933 – A932 (Arbroath Road) – B9128 (South Street) and the reverse.
Vehicle access to properties will be limited during the road closure. Should you need access or egress from the area, please speak to a member of the workforce who will assist.
Bin collections are not affected, and bins should be put out as normal.
Phase 2 of the works will focus on embankment repairs and be carried out under temporary traffic signals after the completion of the phase 1 work. Please be aware, the contractor may be required to leave site for a short period between phases.
Notices will be posted at bus stops to inform of any changes and alternative stops concerning public transport affected by the work.
