Draft Lerwick Lanes Masterplan Proposed

Construction News Image
Shetland Islands Council has called for input on the first stages of the creation of a masterplan for the Lerwick Lanes area.

Edinburgh-based 7N Architects have been appointed by the council to create a masterplan for the Lerwick Lanes area. An online questionnaire aims to gather comments on how the site is currently used and where people feel that there may be opportunities for it to best contribute to a positive future for the town.

Survey responses will contribute to possible future options for the site, to be discussed at a meeting planned for February 2024, where the public will be able to comment and give views on the emerging plans.  Ahead of that meeting, during December and January, the Masterplan Team will appraise the site and consult directly with key stakeholders.

The online questionnaire is now open for responses until Sunday 14th January 2024.
