Midlothian Council Approves New Penicuik Care Home

CCG (Scotland) has been granted planning permission from Midlothian Council for the development of a new luxury care home in Penicuik.

Located in Greenlaw Mains, the 54-bed facility will form part of a larger masterplan of residential homes with proposed facilities such as a cinema, hair salon, and amenity grounds being accessible to both residents of the care home and the wider community.

A small retail unit will also be created which will be taken forward by an identified retailer to provide the local community with day-to-day essentials.

'Greenlaw Luxury Suites' is the latest project to be taken forward by Morrison Community Care and CCG, in partnership with Holmes Miller, and is set to be on-site early next year. It will be complementary to care homes currently under construction including Almondside Luxury Suites in Livingston and a second development that is set to transform the site of the former Hillside Hospital in Perth. Both are set for completion in 2024.
