Morrison Construction has been shortlisted for the Contractor of the Year award and a number of others in this year's Learning Places Scotland Awards.
Learning Places Scotland Awards are an annual gathering of the education community in partnership with the Scottish Government, showcasing the most innovative buildings and recognising influential contractors, consultants, clients, architects and projects.
This year, Morrison has been nominated for Contractor of the year; Project of the Year for Winchburgh Schools Campus and Countesswells Primary School; Project of the Year Inclusive Design for Lockhart Campus and Inspiring Learning Spaces for both Lockhart Campus and Winchburgh Schools Campus.
The nominations follow on from success at last year’s awards, where Morrison Construction won Contractor of the Year for the third consecutive time, Project of the Year, the Inspiring Learning Spaces Award, and Early Learning and Childcare Award.
David Ewing, Managing Director for Morrison Construction Building Central, said: "Being shortlisted for the Contractor of the Year award once again is a great achievement, as it gives us an opportunity to celebrate the fantastic projects with our stakeholders and clients.
"These shortlistings are terrific recognition of all the hard work we have put into delivering some of the most prestigious and innovative education projects across the country and a clear indication that the education sector remains at the heart of our Sustainable Growth Strategy."
Mike Bruce, Managing Director for Morrison Construction Building North East, commented: "We are delighted that our state-of-the-art Countesswells Primary School has been nominated for Project of the Year. Our partnership with Hub North Scotland and Aberdeen City Council has resulted in Countesswells being completed to the highest standards, creating a high quality educational facility that will continue to provide the best learning environment for years to come. Good luck to everyone at the awards!"
Winners will be announced on the 14 November 2023 in Glasgow.
