Connect Modular has been appointed to the LHC Procurement Group’s (LHC) new Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) of new homes (NH3) Framework.
The four-year framework, which is now live and worth £1.2 billion, is designed to provide an efficient, value for money procurement route for local authorities, social landlords and other public sector bodies for the development of new build housing projects and associated works.
Craig Vesey, Business Development Manager at Connect Modular – part of The Wee House Group – said: "We are delighted to be appointed to the LHC NH3 Framework. This is an exciting opportunity for us to work with our clients to deliver affordable housing with all the quality, environmental and programme benefits our volumetric modular process offers. We look forward to bringing our collaborative approach to a new set of projects and clients through this framework."
The appointment of Connect Modular to the LHC NH3 Framework is a major boost for the company and is a clear recognition of its expertise in the industry. The framework will make it easier for clients to work with Connect Modular and gives assurance of their capabilities following a stringent evaluation process.
The company is well positioned to capitalise on the growing demand for modular construction solutions in the UK. All their houses are constructed off-site in their Ayrshire factory where they are completed to ceiling height and pre-fitted with kitchens, bathrooms, plumbing and electrics. The houses are then transported to site and craned into position for the final construction works to be completed.
