Renfrewshire Council has announced a free business event to help businesses on the journey towards a net zero future.
The Steps to Net Zero event will take place on Wednesday 7 June from at Ingliston Country Club and Hotel in Bishopton (PA7 5PA).
Open to businesses from across the Glasgow City Region, speakers include Scottish Enterprise who will be outlining how to use their net zero accelerator tool and experts from the University of the West of Scotland will showcase how to develop a sustainability strategy.
Councillor Andy Steel, Convener of Renfrewshire's Economy and Regeneration Policy Board said: "This is an excellent opportunity for small and medium sized businesses from Renfrewshire and the wider Glasgow City Region to get all the information they need to take the first steps towards net zero.
"The event will provide practical help and signpost the different support available right now, while also highlighting the big benefits to businesses of becoming more sustainable, from reducing overhead costs to opening up new market opportunities."
City Region companies will share their journey to net zero, including Lochlie Construction - who've built a carbon neutral office - and Autonomous iOt, who've developed climate change tackling technology.
Venue hosts Ingliston Country Club will also outline their sustainability programme which includes measures such as solar panels, reusable water bottles and energy efficient lighting.
Director Gary Clark said: "We are extremely proud to have one of the largest solar panel installations in Scotland providing us with a vast amount of the energy we use throughout the estate and we have recently introduced electric car charging points within our main car park in a continued effort to support a cleaner environment.
"Maintaining a sustainable and eco-conscious business while preparing and safeguarding for the future is right at the heart and passion of Ingliston."
