Four projects from CCG have been named as finalists in this year's Scottish Home Awards – one of the most prestigious events in the property calendar.
Nominated in Renovation of the Year and Innovation in Design, 107 Niddrie Road will be aiming to secure further industry acclaim after having secured a GIA Award in 2022 and recently being nominated by the AJ Journal. One of Scotland's most innovative residential retrofit projects, CCG is nominated alongside our client Southside Housing Association and John Gilbert Architects.
Also securing two nominations in the Housing Regeneration Project of the Year and Small Affordable Housing Development of the Year categories is the fantastic Cromdale Square, a project comprising 49 homes in Glasgow that has regenerated the site of the former Drumoyne Primary School in Govan.
Designed by Grant Murray Architects with HOOS Developments and delivered on behalf of Linthouse Housing Association, the project will face stiff competition across both categories from North Gate, another excellent affordable housing development located in the south side of Glasgow. A wonderful example of architectural design from Page Park Architects, the 31-home, 9-storey flatted block was delivered by CCG on behalf of New Gorbals Housing Association.
The final project to have been nominated this year is Witch Road. Located in Kilmarnock, the development is the product of a strategic housebuilding partnership between CCG and East Ayrshire Council.
Working alongside MAST Architects, over 200 homes have been delivered across the region since 2017 with developments tailored to local housing need and demand. Witch Road is a great example of town centre regeneration that offers 1 and 2-bedroom bungalows specially-designed for the elderly. It to is nominated for Small Affordable Housing Development of the Year as well as the Age Exclusive Development award, a newly-created category for 2023.
