Robertson Group's regeneration specialist, Urban Union, has started work on a new development in Hamilton in North Glasgow.
Working in partnership with Queens Cross Housing Association, the development includes over 600 new mixed-tenure homes and apartments, complemented by new improved parks and greenspaces.
Delivered over a 10-year period, the regeneration will comprise of four phases and includes green spaces, parks and a community garden, which have been developed with input from the local community who have played a key part in the planning process and open space provision. The first of the new park spaces is due to complete in the summer of 2023.
The regeneration site forms part of the Hamiltonhill Masterplan proposals, developed under the adopted Woodside - Firhill - Hamiltonhill Development Framework.
Representatives from Urban Union and Queens Cross Housing Association attended an official sod cutting event to mark the start on site of phase 1 of the development which will deliver 178 social homes for rent and 30 for sale.
