McTaggart Construction has joined a group of eight contractors to be appointed to Wheatley Group's £500 million framework for the provision of housing construction and all other associated construction works.

It is anticipated that up to 1,000 units per year could be delivered under the Framework Agreement across the central belt and Dumfries and Galloway but reserving the right for use across any local authority area in Scotland. The works will be predominantly new build but may include a proportion of conversion, rehabilitation or renovation works to existing properties including non-residential and/or listed buildings. The works will also include enabling works including demolition, ground works, remediation and infrastructure.


Contractors appointed to the framework: McTaggart Construction; Ogilvie Construction; The JR Group; CCG; Ashleigh; Hadden Group; Clark Contracts; and Cruden Group.

The works procured through the framework will mostly be on new-build homes, but may also include conversions, rehabilitation or renovation work to existing builds, including non-residential and listed buildings.

Works will also include demolition, groundworks, remediation and infrastructure of sites.
