Angus Council has announced a programme of resurfacing & drainage work on the A937 at Grampian Growers from Wednesday 22nd February, scheduled to last for eight working days.
The work is being carried out on the main route from Montrose to Aberdeen and will result in some restrictions for vehicular traffic.
The works are to be split into two phases, phase one will be carried out under temporary traffic signals for three days and phase two will consist of a road closure between the hours of 0800 – 1600 for 5 days, outside of these times temporary traffic signals will be in operation. The signed diversion route will be as follows: A937 – A935 – A90 and the reverse.
Vehicle access to properties will be extremely limited during working hours and anyone requiring access/egress should speak to Roads Staff at the work site who will be able to assist.
The contractor will try to allow access to driveways overnight, where safe to do so and will try to maintain access at weekends.
Bin collections will not be affected and bins should be put out as normal.
Please contact Angus Council if you, or anyone you know who lives or works in the affected area has any special needs, particularly with regard to access or mobility and we will make any necessary arrangements.
Public transport will be affected by the work and notices will be posted at bus stops to inform of any changes and alternative stops.
