The CCG Group has been recognised as a leading employer of young people after retaining the coveted Investors in Young People GOLD accreditation for another year.
The aim of Investors in Young People (IIYP) is "simple but powerful: to work with, and support, employers who are, or are considering, employing young people and furthermore, recognise employers who are already illustrating good-practice in this field, as well as highlight them, for the benefits of young people looking for a job role with an employer of choice."
CCG, and the subsidiary companies that form one of Scotland's largest, privately-owned construction and manufacturing businesses, proudly support youth employment; annually committing to provide access to a wide variety of jobs, modern and trade apprenticeships, work placements and training programmes as well as higher education opportunities for future career development.
Nineteen trade apprentices from across Glasgow, Lanarkshire, West Lothian and Edinburgh joined the group this August, taking the total employed across CCG's group of companies to 59, and since the start of the year, 14 trainees have also been employed in both site and technical-based roles that are facilitated by strategic partnerships with some of the country's leading universities and colleges.
CCG is also a A Young Person's Guarantee employer, an initiative that supports job creation for young people between the ages of 16 and 24.
