Five Taylor Wimpey East Scotland site managers from its developments across the region are celebrating having each won a prestigious national housebuilding award – their best collective regional performance in Scotland in this prestigious annual competition for a number of years.
Out of more than 8,000 Site Managers from around the UK, each of these award-winning site managers is one of 443 who have been recognised for their dedication to building high quality homes.
Taylor Wimpey East Scotland’s NHBC (National House Building Council) Pride in the Job Quality Award winners are: Barry Watson (Spencer Fields, Inverkeithing), Eddie McCann (Calderwood, East Calder); Gavin Bianchi (Sinclair Gardens, Roslin); James Canning (Hawthorn Gardens, South Queensferry); and Mitchell Davies (Ravensheugh, Wallyford).
Each of these site managers progresses to the Scottish regional awards final later this year to find out who is the best of the best in Scotland.
For over 40 years, Pride in the Job Quality Awards have been highly regarded in the house-building industry. Awards are presented following a rigorous judging process by NHBC inspectors and the recognition these five site managers have achieved gives homebuyers the assurance that the homes in these locations are of the highest quality.
Tommy Stirling, Production Director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland commented: "We have always been committed to maintaining the highest levels of quality and customer service, and we continue to be an NHBC award-winning homebuilder year after year. These individual awards are thoroughly deserved and we’re incredibly proud that we have some of the best site managers in Scotland.
"This year two of our winners –James and Mitchell – are picking up their first Pride in the Job Award, while Barry and Eddie have consistently achieved great success in the competition over the years and Gavin previously won an award in 2020 for his work at our Heartlands development. Each site manager’s success demonstrates our drive to deliver the highest levels of quality, service commitment to our customers right across the east of Scotland."
Steve Wood, NHBC Chief Executive, said: "For more than 40 years, Pride in the Job has been an important part of our work to help drive construction quality. Winning site managers tell us that it inspires them to give a little extra and to strive harder for ever-higher standards in house building.
"At NHBC we believe that the calibre of the site manager and the way they inspire their site team has the greatest influence on the quality of the finished home. By promoting friendly rivalry, showcasing best practice and rewarding excellence, Pride in the Job supports the delivery of homes of the highest quality.
"Congratulations to all the Pride in the Job 2022 Quality Award winners. They are an inspiration to us all and should be very proud of the quality of new homes they are creating."
Pride in the Job is the only UK-wide awards scheme that recognises the significant contribution of Site Managers who achieve the highest standards in new home construction.
