Aberdeen City Council have launched a public consultation on proposed improvement works for Ashgrove Road and Ashgrove Road West.
The Ashgrove Connections project, being delivered by Aberdeen City Council and paid by the North-east transport organisation Nestrans, comprises stakeholder engagement and a public survey which will help define priorities and shape how the project develops.
It will initially investigate what improvements could and should be made to the streets and is aimed at enabling people to choose a more active and sustainable lifestyle, in order to make the most of opportunities to complement the proposed infrastructure changes along the Berryden Corridor.
Depending on input from the community, plans could include changes to Ashgrove Road and Ashgrove Road West which give greater priority to people, enhance public space, improve access to shops and facilities, and improve active travel.
Aberdeen City Council transport spokesperson Councillor Sandra Macdonald said: "This is the first in a series of engagement stages in the local area, where we will work with residents, businesses, and other stakeholders to identify improvements for Ashgrove Road and Ashgrove Road West.
"This is a great opportunity to help create a better environment along an important street, connecting people to their communities, local facilities, vital services, and greenspaces.
"We would encourage anyone who lives or works in the area to take part in the consultation and help to shape the future of these two streets."
