A public consultation is underway on the proposed redevelopment of Edinburgh's Cameron Toll.

The proposed redevelopment includes residential and hotel uses, along with improvements to public realm and pedestrian, cyclist routes within the site and associated landscaping’.

The proposal has been submitted to the City of Edinburgh Council and following the conclusion of the consultation, a formal application for planning permission will be submitted.


The proposals include:

• new hotel development

• new residential development

• improved and enhanced public realm

• improved pedestrian and cycle connectivity within the site

The developers said: "We want to ensure that you are informed of the plans and welcome the opportunity to hear your views as we continue to develop our thoughts before submitting a planning application(s).

"A public exhibition will run online via this webpage and in Cameron Toll until 14 January 2022.

"A further public exhibition event will take place online via this webpage from February 2022. The exact date and time will be confirmed on this webpage and in the local press, following the feedback from the first exhibition."
