Clark Contracts has announced that 23 new trainees have joined their award-winning Academy, in a range of roles including trainee, graduate and apprentice positions.
The contractor has welcomed eight new Trainee Quantity Surveyors, seven of whom will be studying for their BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying at Glasgow Caledonian University part-time whilst working with Clark Contracts and one who graduated from Heriot Watt University in 2021. All of the trainees will be working alongside Senior Quantity Surveyors within the business to gain hands on experience.
Four trainee Site Managers have also joined the business, with three of these being Construction Management students at Glasgow Caledonian University, who initially completed a 7-month placement with Clark Contracts before accepting permanent positions, and will complete their degrees whilst working with experience Site and Contracts Managers. The contractor also recruited a Graduate Site Manager, who has previously completed work experience placements within the business.
Clark Contracts has also welcomed six trade apprentices, who will be completing joinery and plastering apprenticeships, whilst being supported through their training by a dedicated mentor. Five of the apprentices will complete their apprenticeship over 4 years, with one being an adult apprentice and completing the course over the next 2 years. The successful applicants were selected from over 600 applications received when the recruitment process was launched in March 2021.
In addition, a Graduate Quantity Surveyor has joined the business in the role of Trainee Estimator.
