JR Scaffold Services has raised almost £112,000 for charity at its Winter Wonderland Ball in Glasgow, held to mark their 25th anniversary.
The leading building and construction business, part of The JR Group, hosted the spectacular event, which took place on 4th December, and accumulated the impressive total of £111,845 across the evening, which will now be donated to the Emmie Smillie Charity Foundation.
JR Scaffold Services, celebrated the quarter of a century milestone back in 2020 but due to the pandemic, celebrations were delayed until now. Led by Managing Director, John Horne, the team were keen to ensure their celebrations benefited a charity with a cause close to their hearts.
During the glittering evening there were a number of amazing auction prizes and the team were overwhelmed at the generosity from those attending in a bid to boost the funds for the Foundation.
John Horne, Managing Director of JR Scaffold Services, said: "We wanted to celebrate our 25-year milestone in style and although we have had to wait nearly two years, we certainly made sure it was a milestone we won't forget.
"We have come a long way in our 25 years in business and are proud of our success, however it is important to remember our roots and ensure we continue to give back when we can. Our 25th birthday, is no different and we are overwhelmed at the level of support and funds raised across the evening.
"I would like to thank our team, our friends and our suppliers for their ongoing support and generosity and we look forward to presenting the cheque to the Emmie Smillie Charity Foundation very soon."
The Emmie Smillie Charity Foundation, is a cancer charity formed by the Smillie Family in 2016. It is focused on assisting financially local Cancer-related organisations, Hospice and Palliative Care Homes.
The JR Group employs around 200 staff and was founded in Govan in 1995. It started as a scaffolding business and is now one of the largest building and construction firms in Scotland. The business operates throughout Scotland and Northern England working on behalf of a number of the UK's leading housebuilders, registered social landlords and private clients.
