Pat Munro's Major Projects team has completed a number of projects on behalf of Moray Council, including repairs to Lossiemouth West beach footpath, drainage improvements to Clovenside Cemetery in Forres and enhanced tourism projects at Burghead and Portknockie.
All works have been carried out through the Civil Engineering Small Works NEC3 Framework, on which we were awarded first place for Lot 1, Surfacing and Roads (general roadworks, maintenance on roads, pavements and cycle paths) and Lot 2, Flood Risk Maintenance (structural repairs and maintenance to flood schemes, embankment maintenance, watercourse clearance and sediment management).
Pat Munro also hold second place contractor status for Lot 4 which covers Bridge and Structures Maintenance, meaning that any projects that the first placed Contractor can’t deliver, or projects over a certain value, go out on a competitive mini-tender process – with only Contractors on the framework permitted to compete for the work.
The framework runs for two years, extendable to four and our successful inclusion on it, is testament to our track record of successfully delivering infrastructure projects across the Highlands of Scotland for over 75 years, coupled with the high standards we achieve both in technical and quality terms.
Ian Mackay, Head of the Major Projects team at Pat Munro said: "We are delighted to be included on this framework and have built an excellent working relationship with the team at Moray Council and especially welcome the open dialogue that is encouraged by the Council on projects that we undertake. We work closely with them to offer creative ideas and adopt a value engineering approach to projects which we believe results in greater added value and reduced costs for our clients."
