Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has announced a programme of main infrastructure work in Glenboig following the successful completion of some pre-construction and preparation works.
This work is in preparation for construction of its Meadowside development of new homes, off Main Street in Glenboig, which forms part of the Gartcosh and Glenboig Community Growth area. It is expected that construction work on the range of homes will start later this year.
The infrastructure work will be completed as part of the current planning consent that was granted by North Lanarkshire Council in September 2020
Alison Henderson, Special Projects Manager for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland said: "Our work in Glenboig includes a significant earthworks and grouting programme. We do anticipate there may be some noise disturbance while this is completed within our approved hours of operation, and we would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience this essential work may cause.
"Please be assured that health and safety is our number one priority, and we are working closely with our contractor to minimise any disruption or inconvenience within the local community.
"In addition, work to establish a secondary permanent access into our development off Garnqueen Crescent is planned to start in early October 2021. During these minor off-site roadworks, temporary traffic management measures will be needed and our anticipated timescales for completion of this phase of work is just a few weeks."
