North Ayrshire Council is calling on people from three local towns to shape design plans for new play facilities.
The local authority is hosting workshops in Dalry, Kilbirnie and Beith which allows local residents to help design three new and innovative play areas.
Supported by funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, these latest developments form part of the Council's development at Lochshore. The three unique play installations will depict the heritage connections between each town and Lochshore.
As well as new play facilities they will act as destination points to encourage visitors to Lochshore to explore the wider area.
Participation in the workshops will provide the opportunity to work with designers to create ideas which will help shape the new play installations.
Councillor Joe Cullinane, Leader of North Ayrshire Council, said: "Our development at Lochshore is moving forward at quite a pace and these plans complement what we are doing there.
"The workshops will help us share ideas about the heritage of each town and how we can link that to Lochshore. Who better to help us than local people with all that knowledge of their local area."
