The Highland Council has announced the launch of their Building Our Future Highland campaign to keep the public updated on the progress of works for the re-profiled capital programme's housing, property and education projects across the region.
Chair of the Housing and Property Committee, Cllr Ben Thompson said: "I would encourage anyone interested in the development of our housing, property and schools to utilise this new campaign and keep informed on the progress of works in Highland. This will hopefully become a regular and useful tool for communities to use so they can follow current and future projects happening in their area.
"Investment in the Council's estate will make a significant contribution to our economic recovery across Highland. It is especially great to see progress on housing developments which will greatly benefit local communities, especially in the more rural and island areas."
Chair of the Education Committee, Cllr John Finlayson said: "A key priority is the ongoing addition to and the refurbishment and improvement of the Council's large school estate, which includes over 200 settings. We are working hard to recover from the impact of the pandemic to deliver an excellent learning and modern environment for students across Highland. I am delighted that parents, key stakeholders and the wider public will now be able to follow this large body of work online and I look forward to seeing the progress being made with the varied works in our many settings."
As projects near completion, both the webpage and map will be updated and promoted to the public through the Council's social media channels using #BuildingOurFutureHighland.
