The Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA) has announced the launch of the Innovation Hub – a new resource to help social housing sector builds for the future.
The new online portal has been created by the SFHA to support its members to find new ideas for future working.
The Innovation Hub is part of SFHA's Innovation and Future Thinking Programme, a collaboration between professionals working in, and around, social housing from across Scotland. By registering or logging into the SFHA website, members can access a range of resources such as articles, blogs, videos and downloads.
Lorna Wilson, SFHA's Innovation and Future Thinking Lead, said: "Providing homes and support for those most in need continues to be at the heart of what housing associations do. With homelessness and inequality rising and uncertainty around funding, we all recognise the importance of radical thinking and fresh approaches to find solutions for future working.
"This has to be evidence-led, with as many examples of good practice as possible – which is why this new resource is going to be invaluable, both now and as it continues to evolve."
Bryony Willett, Chief Executive of Maryhill Housing Association, said: "With customer expectations constantly moving on, standing still is not an option for the housing sector. Being involved with SFHA's Innovation Hub has delivered tangible business benefits to Maryhill Housing and our customers.
"It is great that good practice examples have been compiled together in one place so that those within the sector can support each other to learn and innovate collectively."
Dan Blake, Berwickshire Housing Association's Operations Director, said: "It's an opportunity for us to learn from the abundance of talent across our sector and beyond, looking at the customer experience and evolving our services to exceed the expectations of what can be achieved.
"It's an exciting and vibrant platform to be a part of."
