Scottish-based MPACT Group has announced the appointment of a new Senior Fabric Estimating Manager.
Ahead of what is expected to be a very busy year for the building services specialist, Harry Grandison has joined MPACT, based in Loanhead near Edinburgh, from fit-out and refurbishment firm GHI of Bellshill.
In his new role as Senior Fabric Estimating Manager, Harry will work with and enhance the MPACT supply chain to allow MPACT to remain competitive in the marketplace.
A graduate of Lasswade High School, Harry from leaving school went straight to work as a trainee estimator for a local multi trade building contractor. He spent the last 10 years with GHI, where he was Estimating Manager, and has previously worked in estimating roles for Cruden Group, Balfour Beatty and Sharkey.
MPACT was set up in 2007 by director Paul Wringe and his brother-in-law Matthew Wright. It employs nearly 70 people offering Cat A fit-outs, Cat B refurbishments, reactive and planned maintenance across a range of environments and industries.
Commenting on his new role with MPACT, Mr Grandison said: "I've known Paul for 20 years, and the great reputation he and Matthew have built around MPACT is well-deserved.
"The quality of their work is among the highest in the industry, and they are involved in a variety of high-profile projects across the UK. The environment is also fantastic as Paul and Matthew are committed to the highest standards when it comes to health and safety, corporate social responsibility and investment in apprentices."
Operating initially as a local concern, MPACT has posted strong growth in recent years as it expands into a nationally-operating enterprise, with turnover of £10m this year.
Paul Wringe added: "Harry is a valuable addition to our team as we prepare for another year of strong growth.
"In addition to strengthening our senior team, we are also looking to recruit more electricians and joiners to handle our expanding pipeline of work."
Among the high-profile projects of the past year was the Category B fit-out of Blackadders Solicitors new offices in Torphichen Street in Edinburgh.
MPACT currently supports a total of 10 apprentices following the recent intake of four new trainees.
