The company was presented the award at a awards ceremony held within City Central at the Honourable Artillery Company in London. The award recognises the companies most committed to providing an outstanding workplace environment.

Clark Contracts, who were the only Scottish registered company to be shortlisted in this category, won the award due to their commitment to understanding and improving staff satisfaction, attention to employees' health, safety and wellbeing and the opportunity for staff training and progression.

The CN Talent Awards recognise the people striving to make it a more inclusive industry, as well as the businesses doing outstanding work to improve the construction industry's reputation and employment practices.

Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director, Clark Contracts said: "We are delighted that our commitment to providing a positive working environment has been recognised at these prestigious awards. This award follows our listing on the 2018 Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for List and our 2017 Construction News Award for Training Excellence. This external recognition is a testament to our £750k investment in our Academy, Training, Steering Group and Healthy Working Lives teams who continually drive focus on our people."

Constructions News editor, Lem Bingley commented: "These awards recognise those outstanding individuals and organisations that are striving to make construction a better sector for everyone."

"Whether promoting physical and mental health, improving diversity and inclusion, closing unfair pay gaps, or becoming more socially responsible across the board, our winners are blazing trails that many others will follow.

"Our award winners are not only making life better for those currently working in the sector, they are also making construction a more attractive career option for the next generation of professionals.

"We salute our winners and thank them for their insight and leadership."
