Arc-Tech Complete Upgrade Works At South Lanarkshire College

Arc-Tech (Scotland) have completed service upgrade works at South Lanarkshire College, to improve facilities ahead of the 2019/20 academic year.

The East Kilbride-based campus is home to over 5200 students studying across a wide range of qualifications and fields of study, including being home to two Arc-Tech apprentices, 1st year plumbing and heating engineer, Sean Duncan, and 1st year plumber, Finlay Bruce.

The works undertaken by Arc-Tech primarily focused on the main campus building consisting of lighting replacement to internal corridors, atria areas, selected classrooms, external car park lighting, external façade lighting and the installation of signage lighting, destratification ventilation installation to workshops, kitchen ventilation upgrades inclusive of kitchen canopy replacement, boiler efficiency upgrades including the installation of an energy monitoring system and Building Management System control upgrades.

All Services were successfully installed during the college's shutdown period, in advance of the staff and students returning from their summer break.

Arc-Tech Managing Director, John Gallacher said: "The South Lanarkshire College contract was a direct award to Arc-Tech and we have rewarded our client's trust by ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and customer service can be delivered on time and on budget. We would like to place on record our thanks to the College and hope to work with them again soon."

South Lanarkshire College Principal, Stewart McKillop, said: "The College is delighted to have worked with Arc-Tech (Scotland) Ltd for the first time. We found them extremely professional and the work was completed on time and to budget. They also communicated extremely well with the College throughout the process. We have no hesitation in giving them our highest possible recommendation."
