Due to the nature and location of the works it will be necessary to implement full carriageway closures on Sunday 18th August 2019. Carriageway closures in both directions will be in place between the Bellfield Interchange and Moorfield Roundabout. Similarly, carriageway closure will be in place to the off/on ramps to B7038 Campbell Street, Kilmarnock. No traffic will be permitted.

The full carriageway closures and works will be signed throughout and for the duration of the works, and a roads diversion each way will be in place.

The Ayrshire Roads Alliance, on behalf of East Ayrshire Council, apologises in advance for the inconvenience these works will inevitably cause to the travelling public in and around this area of Kilmarnock. However, these essential maintenance works are required to improve and enhance the A71 Road Corridor.
