Fort Augustus Bridge Closure
Scottish Canals have announced the closure of the lock flight at Fort Augustus on the Caledonian Canal to allow for emergency lock gate repair works.
The closure will allow for essential diving and repair works. The flight will remain closed throughout the day. As such, no boats will be able to transit through the lock flight on this day.
The lock flight is expected to reopen at 8am on Saturday 3rd August.
Anyone who uses the bridge on their journey is urged to build some extra time into their plans.
