CCG's Anderston Regeneration and Weirston Road projects have been recognised at this year's Scottish Home Awards.
The two projects were celebrated at the prestigious property awards, with Anderston Regeneration claiming Housing Regeneration Project of the Year and Weirston Road winning Large Affordable Housing Project of the Year.
One of CCG's biggest ever projects, Anderston Regeneration consists of 542 mixed tenure homes located just outside of Glasgow city centre. The £50m multi-phase regeneration was constructed over a period of nearly 10 years and is an exemplar for the use of offsite methods of construction and community benefit. The final phase – Phase 4 & 5 – was officially completed in December 2018 after the installation of the Charles Rennie MacKintosh Statue that was created by sculptor Andy Scott with a little help from CCG.
Weirston Road, Kilwinning, is located in a quiet country setting upon the site of the former Coreshill Farm near Eglinton Country Park. The development consists of 64 units in a mix of two, three and four bedroom cottage flats and semi-detached homes, including five amenity plots and one especially for wheelchair users. Weirston Road was procured through the Scottish Procurement Alliance NH1 Framework and is also another great example of CCG's approach to community benefit with up to three new jobs created as a direct result of the project.
The 2019 Scottish Home Awards took place on Thursday 13 June.
