Transport Scotland has announced three overnight closures planned for the M8 westbound Junction 7A Shawhead link road to A725 southbound and M8 Junction 7A Shawhead on slip road from A725 northbound to M8 eastbound.
The M8 westbound Junction 7A Shawhead link road to the A725 southbound carriageway and the M8 Junction 7A Shawhead on-slip, from the A725 northbound to M8 Eastbound will be closed overnight from 8pm to 6am, from Thursday 30 May to Saturday 01 June 2019.
Only one slip/link road at Shawhead Junction will be closed at a time.
Signed diversion routes will be in place as follows:
• For the M8 westbound Junction 7A Shawhead link road to the A725 southbound: via the M8 westbound to Junction 8 Baillieston off-slip, via Baillieston then Swinton roundabouts, Shawhead Junction via the A8.
• For the M8 eastbound Junction 7A Shawhead on-slip, from the A725 northbound: via the A8 eastbound Shawhead Junction on-slip to Newhouse Junction to merge with M8 eastbound at Junction 6, Newhouse.
This traffic management is required for bridge inspection works.
Road users are advised to plan their journey and allow additional time if using these routes.
