Fairway Fun At Marshall's Annual Golf Day 2019

Construction News Image
With the scent of spring in the air – which could have been the scent of the Jo Malone Candle that was part of the impressive prize list on offer – Marshall staff took to the fairways of Dunblane New Golf Club for the annual Golf Day, fortified by bacon rolls and coffee, each player was presented with complimentary "goodie bag/welcome pack" filled with Golf balls, shoe bags, hats, tee's and chocolate bars.

The day started with a blaze of energy and excitement as the course was lit up by the enthusiasm of all thirty-three staff members, the balls flew around like candles in the wind, however very soon the hopes of many began to flicker and fade away as reality dawned.

With scorecards completed and spirits revived at the 19th Hole, the prize giving commenced with Robert Marshall presenting prizes to all who took part; however, he did question the integrity of the scoring as he was supposed to win!

Overall Winner – Stuart McLachlan

Longest Drive – Stuart McLachlan

Closest to the Pin – Scott Montgomery

The wonderful "B Plant Trophy" for honesty in scoring (sorry last place) went to James Harley Contracts Estimator who omitted to deduct the Main Contractors Discount.

Commenting on the success of the Golf Day, Robert Marshall, Company Chairman said: "This has been another great turn out and the event continues to be a wonderful success each year. I would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who took part, and thanks to our many sponsors for their generosity and we look forward with anticipation to next year's event".

This was Stuart Gibbs first time organising the event and our special thanks to him for his efforts in making it a thoroughly enjoyable day. The event was further enhanced with some quality prizes, superb gifts and magnificent professional support.
