ARC-TECH (Scotland) started work on a multi-million-pound mixed-use development in Glasgow.
The leading building services contractor will deliver a turnkey building services solution for the for the former Hills Trust Primary School and Nethan Street development in Govan which will see the conversion of the former school building into new offices and the new build construction of 82 affordable homes on behalf of Elderpark Housing Association.
The development was formally opened recently by the Cabinet Secretary for Justice and local MSP, Humza Yousaf.
Arc-Tech's focus is on the Grade B listed former school building where works will be considerate to the preservation of the building and key features, in keeping with its heritage, whilst installing services to create a modern, functional office environment.
Mechanical Services include pipework, above ground drainage, cutting edge heat recovery ventilation systems and building management systems in order to provide an intelligent building. Electrical Services include lighting combined with sophisticated control systems, fire detection, access control and intruder alarm systems as well as communications infrastructure.
