Cairn Housing Association has been recognised for its Care & Repair Service.

The service attained a Scottish Quality Mark by Care & Repair Scotland, recognising its skills, knowledge and effectiveness.

Cairn's Care & Repair services aim to help older people or those living with disabilities to continue to live in the safety and comfort of their own homes. 

It helps provide assistance with applying for local authority adaptation and repairs grants, and arrange essential works including installation of level access showers, stair lifts, ramps, grab rails, small repairs and the installation of Telecare equipment.


Jason MacGilp, Chief Executive of the Cairn Housing Group, said: "We're delighted to have received this hard earned and well-deserved accreditation for the commitment and professionalism of our team in delivering customer focused services to vulnerable people in the Highlands. Our Care & Repair team has gone from strength to strength and this award demonstrates the teamwork within the team and across the wider Cairn Housing Group."

Robert Thomson, National Director for Care and Repair Scotland, added: "In many instances, the policies and practices were of such a high standard that they will serve as examples to other Care and Repair teams across Scotland.
