Nevis are delighted to announce the signing of a MOU with ROAVR Unmanned Aviation Specialists to bring specialist drone services to the environmental market.
Nevis Environmental have been leading the field in environmental management since 2004, providing survey services and specialist management of environmental issues across a project life cycle from its offices in the Highlands and North of England. Always looking to collaborate with innovative companies and industry leaders, they were delighted to sign a memorandum of understanding with ROAVR – an aerial data provider, to form a partnership to market the use of drones in environmental and ecological surveys and monitoring for a wide variety of clients.
It was perhaps even more fitting that this took place at the leading industry Drone & AUV expo held at The Enterprise Park in Moray in conjunction with ARPAS-UK & Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) on 8th November 2018.
As technology across industries continues to advance at a rapid rate, so do the opportunities for innovation and opportunity, and this is something Managing Director of Nevis, Dr Kathryn Fraser and Matt Harmsworth, Managing Director of ROAVR quickly realised.
Speaking on the partnership, Dr Fraser said: "Our research within the renewables and development industry clearly show that drones for environmental surveying will become normalized in future.
"There is a significant need within our industry to have the ability to cover large, often inaccessible areas safely, quickly and economically and this is something the use of drones provides. Nevis already have an experienced environmental management team, as well as offering GIS and data services which, when combined with the expertise of ROAVR, will enable us to offer clients a full suite of surveying solutions."
Matt Harmsworth added: "I am delighted to be exploring the use of drones further with Nevis, ROAVR has a long history in this sector having initially set the company up to service this area. Data is king and this partnership will enable us to offer an even more robust suite of services to our clients."
