Caledonia Housing Association has appointed Penny Coburn as the new Chair of the Management Committee.
Ms Coburn, the vice chair, takes over from David Grant who resigned after five years in the position.
Speaking at the organisation's seventh Annual General Meeting at McDiarmid Park in Perth, Mr Grant said: "I have very much enjoyed my eight year involvement with the Association, including the last five years where I have been fortunate to serve and contribute as the Chair of the Management Board. We have achieved much over this period and I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone at Caledonia for all their hard work, enthusiasm and support. I think that the time is right for me to now retire and I am more than satisfied that I am leaving the Association in very safe hands for the future."
Ms Coburn is a long standing member of the Caledonia Management Team, having previously assumed the role of Chair of the Audit Committee as well as Vice Chair of the Management Board.
She added: "I am delighted to have been appointed to the role of Chair of Caledonia Housing Association and would firstly like to my express my appreciation to David for all that he has achieved over his time as Chair. These are exciting times for our Association and the wider Caledonia Group. Through our work we will be focused on transforming customer service, providing 1,000 new homes and ensuring our services represent value for money. I have no doubt that there will challenges on the way but I am confident moving forward that we will achieve our aims and continue to be a successful customer focussed housing organisation."
