J & D Pierce Scoops Two Ayrshire Apprentice Awards

Steelwork giant J & D Pierce has scooped two prizes at the Ayrshire Apprentice of the Year 2018 Awards.

In a ceremony on Friday 08 September, the company's Connor Bray and Billy Noble were awarded 'Best Apprentice' in the steelwork fabricator and

construction engineering categories respectively.


The Awards night was historically run by the local councils but is now managed by both 'Incorporated Trades of Irvine' and former MP Brian Donohue.

Mr Donohue hosted the event at the Portal, Irvine, North Ayrshire.

John Brown, Director, J & D Pierce, said: "Since the establishment of our unique Training Academy, we have seen a real increase in the quality of our project

delivery. Our academy, alongside the growing opportunities within our sector nationally, is attributable to the rising number of local young people eager to get into construction."
