Thenue Housing has secured funding of £327,000 from two authorities for its Connecting Locally, Informing Communities (CLIC) and Choices for Change initiatives.
Approximately £100,000 was received from the Bank of Scotland Foundation, with an additional £227,000 from Big Lottery Fund. Both amounts will be delivered over the course of two years.
The Foundation's funding will be allocated to the CLIC project while Big Lottery Fund's funding will be put towards the Choices for Change scheme.
CLIC will tackle financial literacy, fuel poverty, provide a digital lending library offering the loan of devices, provide drop-in sessions offering advice on completing online applications, engage young people in fun digital learning and include older people in learning opportunities to defeat lonelinesss and isolation.
Choices for Change is aimed at people who are lonely and socially isolated and like Learning Works will offer courses delivered by our partners Glasgow Kelvin College.
Chief Executive Charles Turner said: "This is a wonderful example of a Foundation helping at the very heart of communities to make a difference to people's lives. We are extremely grateful for this money which will significantly benefit people seeking to pick up digital skills.
"We are also greatly appreciative of Big Lottery Fund's incredible funding of £227,000 for our new Choices for Change project. Like CLIC, this will go a long way to helping the people we serve in communities where we have our homes."
