A new state-of-the-art play park has been launched at Brechin Community Campus.

The facility hosts a range of play areas and equipment for children aged 3-12.

Its equipment includes a net climbing unit and slide, single and double springers and climbing wall access. A dish roundabout has also been installed.

Communities Convener, Cllr Mark Salmond and vice-Convener, Cllr Tommy Stewart officially opened the park today, 25 July.


Cllr Salmond said: "It's great to see this wonderful resource open and available to the younger members of our community. The play area has been delivered in response to public demand and it provides a very welcome play resource in this area of Brechin."

Cllr Stewart added: "We wanted to deliver this play park to the community as part of the new campus and I am sure the children will have a marvellous time playing and creating memories here."

The play area was delivered in accordance with Angus Standard for Play Provision and designed and built by Angus Council's Parks team.
