Hub South East Scotland has announced Paul Brewer is to become the new Chair of its Board.
Mr Brewer, 57, will take over from Jo Elliot when he leaves his position at the end of the month.
Having had a long and successful career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Mr Brewer recently retired from his role as Corporate Finance Partner.
As a PwC Partner and corporate finance adviser, Mr Brewer focused on infrastructure, energy and government, enabling companies and investors to successfully finance and deliver corporate investment and major infrastructure and service delivery programmes.
Paul McGirk, Chief Executive of Hub South East, said: "I am delighted to be welcoming Paul to the Board. Hub South East is optimistic about the future, having recently won the accolade of ‘Sponsor/Developer of the Year' at the prestigious international Partnerships Awards and having successfully delivered more than £260m community infrastructure projects, with a similar amount in construction or development.
"Relationships with clients are strong and Paul's experience with both the public and private sector will serve us well as we continue to ensure the Hub programme is providing added value and innovative solutions for our public sector partners.
"Paul is focussed on making partnerships work well and this aligns with our vision in Hub South East to be our clients' Development Partner of Choice. We look forward to working with Paul to take this aspiration even closer to reality."
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Brewer said: "I'm joining Hub South East at an incredibly exciting time. It's evident from the sheer breadth of work undertaken and the positive pipeline of upcoming projects that the partnership is working and I believe there are many opportunities still to explore.
"Investment in infrastructure plays a critical role in ensuring good quality outcomes for the public sector and supporting economic growth. I'm keen to ensure that Hub South East continues to build on the positive relationships it has established with client in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Scottish Borders, so we can contribute to such positive outcomes."
