Marshall Construction Appoints New Chief Estimator

Marshall Construction has appointed Douglas Smith as its new Chief Estimator within the General Building Division.

Having originally joined the company in 2002, Mr Smith has a vast amount of knowledge in estimating and project management.

In his new role, he will lead and coach a team of Quantity Surveyors & Estimators.

Derek Clarke, General Building Commercial Director, said: "Douglas is a workhorse and another of our most dedicated employees. He brings a strong work ethic and a broad knowledge of all that is involved in the construction process to the team. He is always open to learning and striving to be better. Douglas is an invaluable member of the General Building team and will contribute to the continued success of the department and the company."


Speaking on his new position, Mr Smith added: "My success at Marshall Construction is due in part to my continuous drive to keep improving. I am passionate about delivering for our clients and company alike and particularly enjoy overseeing projects whereby client expectations are met and exceeded. It's a new challenge and I love challenges."
