Additional Funding For For Milnbank Housing Association
Additional funding from the Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) has been announced for the Milnbank Housing Association following a successful pilot scheme.
Funding of £255,000 has been made available for the project, which has two key aims:
• reduce car dependency by increasing bike use for commuting
• assist families to change their eating patterns by shifting away from processed food to growing and sharing their own fruit and vegetables
Milnbank is the only housing association in Scotland involved in this type of CCF funded growing project and, to date, 300 residents have engaged in the initiative.
In addition, a full range of support services are provided from the Bike Hub including Learn-to-ride sessions and bike mechanic classes.
