CCG has started work to upgrade hundreds of properties across Govan in Glasgow.
The company is undertaking two contracts for Linthouse Housing Association (HA) in Glasgow's southside. Stock improvements are being carried out by CCG Asset Management and external repairs/improvements are being delivered by CCG Specialist Building Services (SBS).
The first contact will see around 256 properties improved over a 22-week period. Features include boiler installations and kitchens and bathrooms replacements as well as associated electrical works and decoration.
Elsewhere, CCG SBS are already carrying out comprehensive tenemental repairs to four closes at Hutton Drive. Features include stone repairs and new roof tiling, installation of new boilers, external wall insulation and attic insulation to improve thermal performance, as well as new kitchen and bathroom layouts. The £3 million contract will be delivered in a 60-week programme.
John Clark, Linthouse HA Chairperson, said: "These two projects being undertaken by CCG are part of the short and long-term business plan that Linthouse HA has put in place. At the heart of the Business Plan is our commitment to provide quality homes for our tenants.
"Over the next few years, there will be other major projects undertaken by the Association. These large investments are part of the Association’s drive to keep improving the standard of homes that we provide for our tenants. Our committee and staff are looking forward to working closely with CCG to ensure that these projects go as smoothly as possible."
CCG SBS Manager, Paul Muldoon, said: "Whilst the contracts are being delivered independently, Linthouse HA will benefit from the expertise of both SBS and Asset Management.
"Hutton Drive is an extensive contract with many different elements being undertaken within a densely populated area. Our site management will require to be at the highest level in considering the surrounding community and we will ensure this is maintained for the duration of the programme."
