A roads maintenance programme has been approved for the Badenoch and Strathy Area of the Highlands.
Features of the approved 2018/19 road maintenance schedule, which is based on current priorities but could be subject to change, include;
• Works to the A939: surface dressing on the Castle Grant East Lodge to snow gates section and the brae above the north snow gates on the Moray bound section; and inlay works on the Bridge of Brown / A95 junction
• On the B9152: surface dressing works are planned for Grampian Road, Aviemore and overlay works at the Kincraig Brae junction
• On the B970: surface dressing works are planned for the Loch an Eilein to Boat house road end section
Other surface dressing works are planned for Grant Road and Chapel Road in Grantown on Spey and East Terrace and Tait's Brae at Kingussie. Resurfacing works will also be carried out at Ardvonie car park loop Kingussie; roads to Myrtlefield, car park and bus depot; and Reed Court Bellmouth, Carrbridge.
Resurfacing of Broomhill Bridge is also in the plan - and drainage works at the Carrbridge soakaways and Seafield Court, Grantown-on-Spey are also included in the programme.
