A trio of contractors have been selected to deliver £67 million worth of infrastructure works in Falkirk over the next six years
A recent council report has highlighted progress on Falkirk's Tax Incremental Finance (TIF) scheme and confirmed Henry Boot, Robertson Group and HFD Property as the developers selected to help deliver developments on TIF sites if required.
Elsewhere, 156 bay solar canopies are to be installed at Falkirk Community Stadium along with 20 new charging stations for electric bikes and cars.
In addition, the council has attracted market interest in the Falkirk Gateway, one of the main TIF development sites. Developers have noted opportunities on the 30-acre site and their proposals will be assessed by the council over the coming months.
Council Leader Cecil Meiklejohn said: "TIF is already delivering for businesses and residents in the Falkirk area and we still have a significant amount of work planned.
"Several prominent developers are keen to be on board with TIF and we're confident that the sites we have identified will bring further investment and employment opportunities."
