A new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) pitch has been installed at Castlehill Primary School in East Dunbartonshire.
The school is the first of eight to receive a new MUGA as part of the council's £1.45 million pitch replacement programme. All red blaes pitches will be replaced at the following primary schools;
• Castlehill Primary School, Bearsden
• Baljaffray Primary School, Bearsden
• Colquhoun Park Primary School, Bearsden
• Clober Primary School, Milngavie
• Craigdhu Primary School Milngavie
• Mosshead Primary School, Milngavie
• Harestanes Primary School, Kirkintilloch
• Gartconner Primary School, Kirkintilloch
The pitch at Castlehill was officially opened by Provost Alan Brown, who was joined by Partick Thistle's Youth Academy Head, Gerry Britton, and Kingsley the Partick Thistle mascot.
Provost Brown said: "I am really pleased that this multi-purpose outdoor facility will be available to the other schools with dated blaes pitches in the near future – it will greatly enhance outdoor physical education for our young people."
