Interserve has secured a one-year contract extension with nuclear decommissioning company, Magnox.
The company will provide a range of services across 12 nuclear sites and one hydroelectric plant.
Key features include electrical, building and fabric maintenance, specialist mechanical services, grounds, vehicle and equipment maintenance, cleaning and catering. In addition, a strong focus of the extended agreement will be on identifying and delivering efficiencies.
Under contract to the site owner (the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority) Magnox is responsible for the decommissioning of Berkeley, Bradwell Dungeness A, Harwell, Hinkley Point A, Hunterston A, Oldbury, Oldbury Techincal Centre, Sizewell A, Trawsfynydd and Winfrith, defuelling at Wylfa and electricity generation at Maentwrog, as well as Chapelcross in Scotland.
