Work on the Maryhill Locks regeneration project in Glasgow is now complete
CCG has delivered the latest phase of the redevelopment scheme. Located on the banks of the River Kelvin and Forth and Clyde Canal, Whitelaw Street comprises of 40 homes in an area surrounded by green parkland.
Work on the first phase (21 homes) was finished in August 2015, with the second phase (19 homes) handed over in April this year.
Maryhill Locks is being developed using CCG's enhanced closed panel timber system, manufactured complete with pre-installed insulation, windows and CCG-manufactured internal doors in its bespoke 'Off-Site Manufacturing' facility.
CCG said by using its closed panel system, huge advantages were gained during the construction process and with it, long-term energy savings via excellent thermal efficiency ratings.
The development was carried out on behalf of Bigg Regeneration, a partnership between Scottish Canals and the igloo Regeneration Fund.
CCG Director, Calum Murray, said: "Maryhill Locks has a very unique, stunning aesthetic and we are very proud to have been given the opportunity to deliver this development. The site layout was challenging but with the use of our closed panel timber system, we were able to overcome any problems to ensure a successful delivery.
"CCG thank Bigg Regeneration for their continued support during the delivery of this project and we hope we can work together in the future."
