A new slip road is to open as part of the £500 million M8/M73/M74 Motorway Improvements Project.
Following the recent opening of the new M8 Motorway, the new route has been developed as part of the final phase of the multi-million pound motorway upgrade project.
To allow the new road to open, the M74 southbound link road to northbound M73 will for completely closed for approximately three weeks from 6am on Monday, 15 May. Diversions will be in place.
Transport Scotland has urged drivers to avoid the area and to use alternative modes of transport wherever possible. If this is not possible, motorists are asked to plan their journey using alternative routes, using the M8 via the Kingston Bridge.
