Aberdeen-based energy services firm, Wood Group, has announced a number of changes to its Executive Leadership Team.

The company revealed Andrew Stewart has become Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Asset Life Cycle Solutions (ALCS) business in the Western region, while Michele McNichol has been appointed to the new role of executive president.

Mr Stewart takes over from Ms McNichol as CEO of ALCS in the Western region. Recently, he was president of the Construction, Maintenance & Operations (CMO) business, which provides a majority of the business activity in the region and also led the Group's brownfield production services operations in Australia and Asia Pacific.

In her new position, Ms McNichol will lead the global integration of Amec Foster Wheeler into the business, which Wood Group agreed to purchase for £2.2 billion in March. As well as being CEO of the ALCS in the Western region, she also acted as CEO of Wood Group Mustang.

Robin Watson, Chief Executive of Wood Group, said: "Since announcing the proposed acquisition of AFW, the largest Wood Group has undertaken, we have begun thinking about the structure of our business to best serve our customers. Although the potential acquisition still requires regulatory and shareholder approval, there is already much work to be done in relation to integration planning.

"Michele's insightful leadership and knowledge of the business will be key to a successful integration post-completion and to the future success of Wood Group.

"Andrew's knowledge of Wood Group's global business and best practices will help drive our strategy for ALCS across the Americas."
