A new £8.2 million community campus has been opened in South Ayrshire.
The Tarbolton Community Campus, which was built by Morrison Construction, was officially unveiled on Friday, 17 February.
The scheme is part of a £94m pipeline of works being delivered across South Ayrshire in the next 18 months.
So far, the custom built technical block at Marr College was unveiled in January, while extensions to Annbank Primary School and Troon Primary School and a new link at Southcraig School will all be completed by early summer. In addition, work to create a new Daily Primary is also nearing completion, with pupils due to move in during the coming weeks.
The new Campus facility has places for 297 primary children and 40 early years children, with sports, leisure, library facilities, and meeting rooms all being provided under one roof.
Cllr Margaret Toner said: "This fantastic new facility will bring improvements not just for the way education is delivered, but for the whole community.
"With a purpose-built, modern space children can now learn in the best possible environment, while the library, leisure facilities and other community spaces also allow the widest public access and use of the facilities.
"This project is part of a much wider period of investment across South Ayrshire and I'm confident that people will be impressed by the quality of this eye-catching asset once they come and see it for themselves."
Allan Cunningham, Operations Director for Morrison Construction, said: "The new campus will ensure Tarbolton is prepared to cope with local demand for school places, and will benefit not only current and future students, but the wider community too."
Michael McBrearty, Chief Executive of Development Partner hub South West, added, "The new Tarbolton Community Campus looks fantastic and we're thrilled that pupils have now moved in and can enjoy all the new facility has to offer.
"It's been around a year since contracts were signed and work began on the Tarbolton site, therefore it is great testament to the partnership working between all involved that we are here today to see the finished result."
